Mold/Construction Claims
Jennifer Grieco has more experience litigating mold cases than almost any attorney in Michigan. She handled her first mold case in 1999, which was one of the first mold cases arbitrated in Michigan. As a result of her early experience, she has been asked on numerous occasions to speak or write about litigating mold claims in order to teach lawyers and other professionals. Jennifer has tried numerous mold cases to a jury verdict including a personal injury claim for a single plaintiff where the jury awarded the plaintiff $925,000 for past and future personal injuries resulting from her exposure to mold and bacteria in her apartment. Jennifer has successfully handled all variations of mold claims including insurance coverage disputes arising out of mold and/or water intrusion, claims against prior owners for failing to disclose, claims against contractors and remediators for negligent repairs or remediation, claims against apartment complexes and/or condo associations for breach of their maintenance and repair duties, and numerous claims against builders for faulty new construction or negligently installed additions or repairs.
