Age I decided to become a lawyer: Whatever age I was when L.A. Law debuted.

The highlight of my weekends:  Watching sports with my son, watching my daughter perform and playing pickleball with my wife.

Best childhood memory: Summer vacations to the Catskill Mountains with my family.

The way I unwind: Watching sports and playing pickleball.

Things I would change about the legal profession: I think the profession could benefit from reinforcing the idea that strong, effective advocacy and civility aren’t mutually exclusive. Lawyers can represent their clients zealously while still maintaining professionalism and respect in their interactions.

Favorite food: Filet mignon with Zip Sauce or anything my wife cooks.

Favorite movie: Goodfellas, The Godfather, The Untouchables … do you see a pattern here?

Favorite music artist: Impossible to narrow it down to one so I will go with one per decade. 60s: The Beatles; 70s: Pink Floyd; 80s: U2; 90s: Nirvana/Pearl Jam. It was all downhill from there until my daughter started singing and writing songs. Now she’s got the #1 spot.

If I wasn’t a lawyer, I’d be:  The oldest centerfielder in Tigers history.

Beach or mountains: Beach

If I had an extra million dollars, I’d: Still be just as frugal as I am now!
