Jack has more than 40 years’ experience as a litigator and trial attorney in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as in arbitration. Jack’s practice focuses primarily in commercial litigation, securities law, and civil litigation. His commercial and civil litigation experience spans a broad range of complex matters, including RICO, fraud, product liability, real estate, and insurance cases. Jack also represents clients in a broad range of securities litigation, arbitration, and enforcement matters, including investors, registered representatives, and investment advisers in arbitration and civil suits involving claims under the federal and state securities laws and in SEC and state regulatory enforcement and administrative actions and proceedings.
In addition to his litigation practice, Jack is also a certified mediator and offers ADR services. He serves as an arbitrator and chairperson on Commercial and Consumer rosters of the American Arbitration Association and for FINRA Dispute Resolution, where he is approved as an arbitrator for FINRA’s large, complex cases and injunction relief cases. He has also served as a private judge, commercial arbitrator, and special mediator in condemnation disputes, corporate disputes, and commercial cases.
Jack is an adjunct professor at Wayne State University Law School. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, and earned Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV-Preeminent peer review rating for his legal ability and very high ethical standards. He also has been selected to Michigan’s Super Lawyers every year since 2007.
