Dave joined Altior after two decades at a corporate law firm.  He practices in general civil litigation, involving commercial and corporate transactions, banking, creditors’ rights, real estate, employment and environmental matters. Dave became a lawyer because he likes finding solutions for people’s problems that benefit all parties involved in a dispute.

Dave has litigated cases involving a broad range of general business issues including breach of contract, complex commercial issues, loan workouts, Consumer Protection Act violations, discrimination, non-competition agreements, and real estate disputes. Dave also regularly represents financial institutions and general creditors in all phases of bankruptcy proceedings, including the pursuit of proofs of claim and all post-petition claims. Moreover, Dave is certified as an arbitrator and/or facilitator for all types of civil matters including commercial cases involving areas of corporate law, real estate, contracts, insurance, and business torts.

Through his career, Dave has represented national sports leagues, international big box retailers, automotive dealerships, automotive suppliers and national banking institutions. Additionally, he acts as Regional Counsel for the North-Midwest Region of a national retailer client, supervising litigation in twelve states.

Dave earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1994. He received his J.D. from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1997, where he was named in Who’s Who Among American Law Students and received the Ohio State University Public Service Fellowship.

Dave has also received a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating, which is the highest rating available to an attorney with his level of experience, and he has been named to DBusiness’ Top Lawyers for the past several years.
