Jennifer M. Grieco Presents at Novi Oaks Charter Chapter of The American Business Women's Association

Jennifer M. Grieco, partner with Neuman Anderson, P.C. and president of the Oakland County Bar Association, was the featured speaker at the March meeting of the Novi Oaks Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). The event was held on Wednesday, March 9^th, 2011, in Novi, Michigan.
Founded in 1949, the mission of the ABWA is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition. The ABWA has dedicated more than half a century to women’s education and provided workplace skills and career development training for more than 545,000 members.
Grieco’s presentation, titled “Lessons Learned Competing in a Male-Dominated Profession,” highlighted her accomplishments as a member of metro Detroit’s legal and professional community while providing best practices for achieving success and creating a work-life balance.
Grieco focuses her practice in complex commercial litigation.  Her experience encompasses a broad range of commercial disputes with a particular emphasis on business tort claims including professional malpractice, contract claims, shareholder disputes, insurance coverage and construction litigation.
Routinely recognized for her accomplishments and contributions to the legal profession, Grieco was named one of only five Up & Coming Lawyers for 2004 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. She was also recognized in the 2007 edition of Michigan Super Lawyers. In 2010, Grieco was named to Crain’s Detroit Business‘ annual “40 Under 40″ list, which recognizes forty of metro Detroit’s best and brightest professionals.
A frequent speaker and published author, Grieco currently serves as a member of the State Bar of Michigan Negligence Council, American Bar Association and Michigan Association for Justice. She previously served as president of the Oakland County Region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan from 2003-2004.
