Altior Law attorney Jennifer Grieco recently served as a panelist concerning best practices on non-administered arbitrations hosted by the State Bar of Michigan’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Section. Jennifer was selected to present alongside a panel of other notable advocates and arbitrators including, Martin Weisman, Larry Saylor, Samuel McCargo, and moderator Michael Leib. The webinar included helpful hints on the conduct of arbitrations between parties and arbitrators that do not involve an administering organization, including the conduct of such arbitrations, including how to select arbitrators, the applicable law, how to structure the arbitration, and what agreements are necessary.
When Jennifer is not acting as an advocate for her clients in court or in arbitration, she is helping to “raise the bar” for effective alternative dispute resolution in Michigan. She has recently been appointed to serve a term on the State Bar of Michigan’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Council through 2023, and completed the SCAO approved 40-hour General Civil Mediation Training. Jennifer continues to serve counsel and clients in need of a “go to” mediator, arbitrator, or advocate in complex civil litigation and business disputes.
