Property Tax Appeals
Altior Law represents taxpayers in all stages of real property tax appeals. Our attorneys have experience representing clients before the Michigan Tax Tribunal and have negotiated settlements of appeals with local taxing authorities. Typically, we represent clients appealing the local taxing authority’s determination of the value of their property. A client that successfully appeals the local taxing authority’s determination of value not only lowers its taxes going forward, it also is eligible for a refund of overpaid taxes from the time of the appeal forward.
Our firm offers a variety of flexible fee arrangements for clients pursing tax appeals, including traditional hourly fees agreements, contingency agreements, flat fee agreements and agreements combining two or more of these approaches.
