Complex Probate Litigation
In addition to conventional “business litigation,” our firm represent our clients in disputes that fall under the jurisdiction of the probate court. Our attorneys have extensive experience trying cases in the probate court and litigating a variety of probate issues. Specifically, our attorneys have represented clients in their capacities as trustees and personal representatives, as well as representing business and banking clients whose interests were litigated in the probate court.
Clients may have their issues decided by the probate court for a number of reasons, including the ownership of property interests by a trust or by a decedent’s estate or when a beneficiary of a trust or estate brings claims against a trustee or personal representative regarding the validity of a will or trust, or regarding the management of an estate or trust. Our firm has experience litigating many of these issues on behalf of trustees, personal representatives, beneficiaries and companies as interested parties.
