BIRMINGHAM, Mich., August 23, 2011 — Neuman Anderson, P.C., a Birmingham, Mich.-based business law firm specializing in complex commercial litigation, announced today that firm partner Jennifer Grieco has won a contested seat on this year’s State Bar of Michigan Board of Commissioners in District I, representing Oakland County. Neuman Anderson, P.C. Managing Partner Kenneth Neuman made the announcement.
The State Bar Board of Commissioners provides oversight to the various operations of the Bar, such as finance, public policy, and member services. Grieco will join the board for the first time with the start of her three-year term in September.
An accomplished litigator of more than 13 years and active leader in the legal community, Grieco most recently concluded her term as president of the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA). Among her many accomplishments with OCBA, she spearheaded their Pro Bono Mentor/Mentee program which pairs new lawyers with seasoned practitioners willing to mentor them through pro bono cases.
Grieco is a fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation and the Oakland County Bar Foundation, and a member of the SBM Negligence Law Section Council. She also served as president of the Oakland County region of the Women Lawyer’s Association of Michigan and on the executive committee of the Michigan Association for Justice.
“Jennifer is not only known for her high-profile verdicts as a valued litigator, but as a frequent speaker, published author and true trailblazer in the local legal community,” said Neuman. “On behalf of Neuman Anderson, P.C., we’d like to congratulate her on her new seat on the board. We are thrilled to see her given this honor and we’re sure she will continue to provide great leadership for attorneys in Oakland County and in Michigan.”
